Coach✓ is inviting former college football and basketball players to participate in College Player Experience (PXI).
The Reverse Recruiter
Every recruiting visit shows athletes what a program wants them to see.
The facilities. The uniforms. The locker room. The highlight videos. The promises about development, opportunity, culture and family.
But recruits rarely get to see what happens after you sign.
That’s where former players come in.
If you played NCAA football or men’s or women’s basketball during approximately the last five seasons, Coach✓ wants to hear from you.
For football, that means athletes who played from the 2021 season through today. For basketball, the 2021–22 season through today.
You don’t have to have been a star.
You don’t have to have started or transferred.
And you certainly don’t have to have had a bad experience.
We want to hear from athletes who loved their coaches just as much as athletes who didn’t.
Because this isn’t about attacking coaches.
It’s about understanding the player experience.
What Is College Player Experience (PXI)?
PXI is designed to help answer a question that recruiting rankings, win-loss records and social media can’t:
What is it actually like to play for this coach and this program?
College athletics collects enormous amounts of information about athletes.
Statistics. Measurements. Film. Recruiting rankings. Performance evaluations. Transfer information.
The athlete is constantly being evaluated.
PXI turns the evaluation around.
For once, we’re asking the athlete:
How did the program perform for you?
Former players can share their experiences involving coaching, communication, development, roster management, player treatment, expectations and whether the reality of joining a program matched what was communicated during recruiting.
We Want the Good Stories Too.
If a coach changed your life, tell us.
If your position coach developed you exactly as promised, tell us.
If your staff treated injured players exceptionally well, tell us.
If coaches were honest about your depth-chart position—even when the conversation was difficult—we want to know that too.
Trust shouldn’t be measured by counting complaints.
Great coaches deserve to have positive player experiences reflected too.
But if your experience was different from what you were promised during recruiting?
We want to understand that as well.
You Know What Happened After the Recruiting Visit.
Maybe you were told you’d compete immediately.
Did you?
Maybe your coach promised development.
Did it happen?
How were injured players treated?
What happened when players entered the transfer portal?
Did coaches communicate honestly when your role changed?
Was the culture advertised during recruiting the culture you actually experienced?
One player’s experience doesn’t define an entire coach or program.
But when experiences from multiple independent athletes begin showing consistent patterns, recruits and families deserve to understand those patterns.
This Isn’t the NCAA Asking.
It Isn’t Your University Asking.
And It Isn’t Your Former Coach Asking.

Our purpose is different.
We’re building independent recruiting intelligence for athletes and families.
And we’re asking former players to help.
Why Your Story Matters
Somewhere right now, a high-school recruit is sitting in the same chair you once sat in.
They’re hearing the pitch.
They’re touring the facilities.
Their parents are listening.
And they’re trying to decide whether they can trust what they’re being told.
You know what happened after the visit ended.
You know what practices felt like.
You know how coaches communicated after losses.
You know how starters and backups were treated.
You know what happened when players got hurt.
You know whether development was real.
You know whether expectations were communicated honestly.
You know whether the word “family” still meant something when things became difficult.
Your experience won’t predict exactly what happens to the next athlete.
But it can help that athlete ask better questions.
You Were Recruited.
You Lived It.
Now Help the Next Recruit Verify It.
If you played NCAA football or men’s or women’s basketball during the last approximately five seasons, we want to hear from you.
Tell us what your coaches did well.
Tell us what could have been better.
Tell us whether recruiting expectations matched reality.
And tell us what you wish someone had told you when you were 17 years old.
Because recruits shouldn’t have to make one of the biggest decisions of their lives with only one side of the story.
Join College Player Experience (PXI)
Your experience. Their intelligence. A better recruiting decision.
